The Telpara Hills 920 cow family is based upon Miss 38 Center Ranch 920/M1.  This matron is a large-framed, long Transformer cow selected in late 2006 for the Telpara Hills donor programme because of her strong growth EPDs, maternal strength and overall phenotype, a Houston class-winner.  More importantly, we were very impressed with the quality of her calves.

Transformer daughters have been in high demand in the US for several years as this bull has been described as the immortal ‘changer’ of the breed.

Time and time again Transformer daughters get the job done in herds across the world and are defined as extremely functional females that continually hold their place in a herd.

Already she has produced a line of simply outstanding females in our herd in Australia.  TH Miss Csonka 920D4 sold for a record-breaking $16,000 to Boombah Cattle Co., Dingo QLD at our Elite Genetics Sale at Beef 09 and soon after her flush-sister TH Miss Csonka 920D2 was purchased for $20,000 by Oaklands Brangus, Kalapa, QLD and was the first Brangus to be cloned in Australia in 2012.  Both females sold as young heifers. Triple B Brangus has also purchased 920 pregnancies.  Our foundation donor 920/M1 continues to produce embryos for Telpara Hills and we have retained a full sister, TH Miss Csonka 920D3.

Excellent bulls are also a product of the 920 cow family.  Three were sold at Telpara Hills’ Elite Genetics sale at Beef 2012, TH Gladstone 920F2 for $26,000, TH Yeppoon 920F4 for $12,000 and TH Rockhampton 920F3 for $16,000.  Both Gladstone and Yeppoon are outstanding bulls have semen that is being marketed overseas.
